In Home Consultation*

A consultation in your home usually lasts 1.5-2 hours and includes a complete history, assessment of latch and breast health as needed, gentle assistance to achieve a more comfortable latch, a customized care plan for easy review, report to both mom and baby's health care providers if desired, and as much time as you need for questions. Follow-up assistance by phone, text, or email is included until the initial issues are resolved. If issues are not resolved after two weeks, a follow-up visit may be necessary. I strive to provide caring and compassionate support with the goal of empowering you to meet your breastfeeding goals so you can be "Happily Nursing!”  --  $125

Follow-Up Consultation*

Many breastfeeding issues can be resolved with just one visit. However, if the issues are complex or if you just would like more in-person follow-up care, additional consultations are available. Follow-up consultations generally last one hour and include re-assessment and care plan adjustment as needed. As babies mature and become more self-aware, this can change the care plan.  -- $75/hour

In-home and Group Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes

Many people prefer a personalized and in-depth breastfeeding class in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Breastfeeding classes generally last 3 hours and include information on why breastfeeding is important for both mother and baby, including nutritional, immunological and psychological reasons. You will learn how milk supply is established so that you can be prepared to maximize your milk supply from the beginning. Learn the basics of positioning and latching a newborn baby, how to avoid many of the common problems many women encounter, how to prepare for returning to work, when and how to introduce a bottle if desired and most importantly, how to nurture and not just feed your baby through breastfeeding.

Mommy's Milk

Any family members who will be providing support after baby arrives are encouraged to attend this class, along with the mother. It is very important to have the father of the baby (or mother's partner) and other family members knowledgeable about normal infant feeding, if at all possible. A successful breastfeeding experience is much more likely when those around the mother are supportive. We will discuss specific ways in which family members can support mother and baby with breastfeeding.

Group rates available. Watch for updates about group classes being offered or form your own group.

*A $.50/mile travel fee applies for distances more than 20 miles from the center of Cleveland, Ga., for private classes and home visits.
